Luke and Sandy came to visit us from Vegas this weekend. We went to Boulder today, which is a perfect example of a college town. We ate at
The Sink for lunch. The restaurant serves fantastic food in an artsy, bohemian-style setting. I had a veggie burger and vegetables. Upon completing the meal I proclaimed it the best veggie burger and vegetables I have ever eaten. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in the area.

The real purpose of this blog, however, is to lament the fact that I was three seats away from catching a foul ball at Coors Field Thursday night. That is one of my dreams: to catch a foul ball at a major league park. There was a family with children sitting next to us, and of course they were excited to catch the ball. But honestly, if I was thinking clearly, I probably would have jumped right in front of the little kid and caught the ball with my bare hands "like a man," as Luke would say.
I am going to catch a ball someday. And when I do, I'm going to write the longest blog ever in honor of the monumental achievement. If you look at the picture closely, you can see the lucky family that walked away with the ball seated to my right.
I was so close.

Ryan. I have composed a haiku in honor of the event of your not catching a ball. Here it is:
Foul ball into the stands
He waits with bare hands ready
Not this time, buddy
It's an art, really.
Also, I laughed at this line: "Upon completing the meal I proclaimed it the best veggie burger and vegetables I have ever eaten." - Well, naturally.
