I love fall in Colorado. The trees like volcanoes are bursting with colors, leaving ashes of leaves all over the sidewalks and roads and lawns. The air is crisp, just cold enough in the morning to let you know change is happening, but warm enough in the afternoon to drive with your windows down. Snow is beginning to cover the tops of the surrounding mountains.
I'm looking forward to winter as well, though I admit I'm not sure how we're going to survive the days in which the highs are lower than Julia's age.

GREAT IMAGERY.
WE'LL SURVIVE- TWO WORDS FOR YA-
HOT CHOCOLATE!!!!
Another two words:
Hollowed out animal carcasses.
Okay, so it's four words. Still, they'll keep you warm... if you can stand the smell.
And I can.
